These terms and conditions govern your use of the Murrays Painting website (murrayspainting.com.au) and the painting services provided by Anamora Pty Ltd trading as Murrays Painting (ABN: [ABN]) (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

Quotes and estimates

All quotes provided by Murrays Painting are valid for 14 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated in writing. Quotes are based on the scope of work discussed during the on-site inspection and are subject to change if the scope changes or if unforeseen conditions are discovered once work begins.

We reserve the right to adjust a quote if the condition of surfaces differs materially from what was visible at the time of inspection (for example, hidden rot, asbestos, or structural damage uncovered during preparation). Any adjustments will be communicated and agreed upon before additional work proceeds.

Acceptance and scheduling

A quote is accepted when you confirm in writing (including email or text message) that you would like to proceed, or when you sign a written agreement. Once accepted, we will schedule the work at a mutually agreed date. Scheduling is subject to availability and weather conditions for exterior projects.

Payment terms

Payment terms are as outlined in your individual quote or agreement. All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST. We are a GST-registered business (Anamora Pty Ltd) and will provide a tax invoice upon request.

Cancellation and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. We understand that circumstances change. However, if work has already commenced or materials have been purchased specifically for your project, you may be liable for costs incurred up to the point of cancellation.

We reserve the right to reschedule work due to adverse weather, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will notify you promptly and arrange an alternative date.

Workmanship guarantee

Murrays Painting provides a 12-month guarantee on labour and materials from the date of project completion. This guarantee covers defects in workmanship such as peeling, flaking or blistering that result from faulty application.

The guarantee does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by impact, abrasion, or misuse
  • Movement, cracking or deterioration of the underlying substrate
  • Damage caused by water ingress, plumbing leaks or structural issues
  • Colour fading due to UV exposure, which is a natural characteristic of all paint
  • Areas where the client has declined recommended preparation work

To make a warranty claim, please contact us directly. We will inspect the area and, where the claim falls within the scope of our guarantee, rectify the issue at no additional cost.

Insurance

Murrays Painting holds $20 million public liability insurance and workers compensation insurance. Proof of insurance is available on request.

Your responsibilities

To help us deliver the best possible result, we ask that you:

  • Provide reasonable access to the work area
  • Move or protect personal belongings and furniture where practical
  • Advise us of any known hazards, including asbestos, lead paint or electrical issues
  • Ensure pets and children are kept clear of the work area for safety

We are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental losses, including loss of profit, loss of use, or any damage arising from delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
