What to expect
Spraying is not the fast option, whatever it looks like. The gun is quick, but the masking is not, and a job sprayed without proper containment shows up as overspray on somebody's car three doors down. Where it earns its place is on surfaces a roller cannot do justice: exposed ductwork and structural steel, deep-profile ceilings, security grilles, and joinery where you want a finish with no brush marks in it at all.

How it works
The gun is quick, the masking is not
Spraying earns its place on the surfaces a roller cannot do justice. Everything else is preparation and containment.
Decide if it suits
John will tell you when brush and roller give a better result. Spraying is a tool, not a default.
Mask and contain
Everything that is not being sprayed gets covered, including the surroundings. Overspray travels further than people expect.
Spray in passes
Even wet coats with proper overlap, thinned and tipped to suit the product and the temperature on the day.
Back-roll or leave it
Some surfaces want back-rolling to key the texture in. Others want the sprayed finish left alone. That call is made per surface.
