What to expect
A patch you can see is a patch that was rushed. Filler shrinks, so a hole filled once and painted the same day comes back as a dimple, and a repair sanded flat but not sealed drinks the topcoat and flashes a different sheen under raking light. We fill in stages, sand back properly, and spot-prime every repair before the wall gets painted. On older places this is most of the job, and it is the part that decides how the finish looks.

Find the cause
Water damage that has not been fixed at the source will come back through the new paint. John checks why before he fills anything.
Cut out and fill
Cracks raked open, damaged sheet cut out and replaced, holes filled in stages so the shrinkage happens before the sanding, not after.
Sand flat
Sanded back and checked under raking light, which shows up every high spot a torch held straight on will miss.
Spot-prime every repair
Sealed before topcoats so the patch does not flash a different sheen once the wall is finished.

No. John comes out, looks at the job with you and gives you an estimate on site, a written quote, or both. He handles every quote himself rather than sending someone else. On jobs far enough out that they need travel or a night away, those costs are quoted as part of the job so you can see them.
Every job carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee. John inspects at the preparation stage, which is where most problems are still cheap to fix, and again at the end. If something needs attention after that, call him.
Around $500 excluding GST. Below that the setup and travel usually cost more than the work is worth, and John will tell you straight rather than quote you something silly.
It depends on the surfaces more than the size, which is why there is no price list here. John prices per room, per hour, per square metre or per day depending on what suits the job, plus materials. The only accurate answer comes from him seeing it, and that visit is free.
